Integrated
and progressive rehabilitation for post-mastectomy and breast
surgery patients
Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing after breast cancer surgery.
You're probably exhausted, your arm may be painful and swollen and the
post-surgery chemo- or radiography treatments can make you feel even worse.
All you want to do is rest. In the past, that's exactly what doctors recommended.
However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved
quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

The
Pink Ribbon Program has been successfully helping women recover
their mobility, strength, and range of motion following breast
cancer surgery in the USA, Australia and Europe since 2003.
Following
specific training in the US, I
am delighted to be offering this to cancer survivors as well as
women who have undergone other aspects of breast surgery.
I
aim to help promote a healthy lifestyle and positive body image to all breast cancer
survivors and breast surgery patients through the application of
specially devised clinical Pilates techniques.
Based
on the guidelines of the Pink Ribbon program, each patient
receives an individually designed plan based on her past
treatment and current needs. The therapy is delivered normally
over eight sessions, in my specially built Pilates
studio using specialist rehabilitation apparatus and other mat-based exercises.
BENEFITS OF THE PINK RIBBON PROGRAM
• Improves self confidence and control
• Helps regain strength and mobility in affected shoulder and arm
• Enhances energy levels and helps to control weight
• Improves sleep and alleviates fatigue
• Decreases stress and tension
• Enhances physical and mental well-being
